The EuP Directive (Energy-using Products Directive) sets eco-design requirements for products that consume energy during use. It covers electrical and electronic equipment as well as products using solid, liquid, or gaseous fuels. Manufacturers are required to assess energy efficiency and environmental impact throughout the product life cycle, complete conformity assessment, prepare technical documentation, issue a Declaration of Conformity, and apply the CE marking where applicable. Relevant records should be retained for regulatory inspection.
